Welcome to the wonderful world of suris, the rarest of all fiber species. Suris have been domesticated for over 5,000 years, but currently represent only 6% of the world's population. Known for adding luster and drape to knits and wovens alike, suri fiber was revered by the Incas for its unique fiber qualities, and today is highly sought after by fashion design houses around the world.
Salt River Mills has dedicated itself to developing and promoting U.S. suri fiber in the fiber arts community. To that end, we offer a variety of products, including yarns for needlepoint, knitting, and weaving; spinning products such as roving and raw fiber; and suris for sale to anyone who falls in love with them like we did!
Please take some time and look around our website. We'd be happy to send you samples or photos and give you suggestions on how to use this wonderful fiber. Thank you for your interest!
