We got our start by developing and selling suri yarns for the needlearts community, and we are commited to growing this business in the years to come. Suri is truly an ideal fiber for needlepoint, crewel, and cross-stitch given its strength, luster, range of natural colors, and tendency to "spin thin".
To that end, we have developed a 3-ply yarn that is well suited to 13 and 18 count needlepoint canvases, 20 to 25 count even weave canvases for cross-stitchers, or the fine linen canvas used by crewel stitchers. While the natural colors lend themselves to animals, coats, mittens, etc, the richness of the colors also allows them to work well in geometric patterns. Suri can be brushed up to give a "fuzzy effect" or the loose fibers can be trimmed to give a clean, crisp look (for short-haired animals, geometrics, etc.). Because suri offers so many natural colors, we are able to offer sixteen shades of white, fawn, brown, black and grey - with no dyes added!
While we do sell needlearts kits with our fiber included to the general public, we will only sell our individual yarns to needlearts retailers. We believe strongly in partnering with retailers and recognize that without your feedback and support , we cannot improve our yarns. So if you are interested in ordering either a color card book with order forms and pricing, or if you want to order some yarns, please contact our distributor, The First and Last Stitch in St. Louis, MO, www.firstandlast.com, at 314-961-8157 and they will get you what you need!

Dedicated to the development and promotion of U.S. suri fiber.
